It's no secret, at St. Helen Catholic School, we love to have fun with our family and friends.  We enjoy any opportunity where we can all come together to celebrate our love for God and one another.  Each year, the St. Helen Catholic School Community come together and celebrate the temple that God has given us and run for Him.  Some of us are fast, some slow, some walk and yes, some of us even trip and fall.  But none of this matters to us as long as we leave happy!

What's New To This Years Run?

This year, we've decided to combine our run with our fundraising efforts by allowing our families the opportunity to raise money through their own personal fundraising pages.  Funds raised from this event go directly to the school to close the "gap", which reflects the difference between tuition and fees and the actual cost of educating a student at SHCS.  For the 2015-206 school year, the funding gap is estimated to be $1,470 per student.  But that's not all!

"Be The Change You Wish To See In The World" - Gandhi

That Gandhi really knew what he was talking about!  Besides a top notch education, we teach our students to be faithful servants of God and to love and lift up those around us.  That's why we've decided that 10% of the money that we raise is going back into our community.  This years recipient is the Health Start Foundation.  Located in Austin, their mission is to empower kids to create a healthier future for our communities through early health education.  The Health Start Foundation has designed fun, science-based programs to help children adopt healthy habits younger.  They deliver their mission with key programs like curriculum and a cafeteria nutrition education pilot to drive these messages to students in the area.  As a result of what they learn through these programs, students share what they learn with their families and are influencing the community at large by how they eat and move.  Learn more about them here http://www.healthstartfoundation.org/
